Vision for Craven County Schools' AIG Program
Craven County Schools, united with families and community, will rigorously challenge all gifted students to show academic, intellectual, social, and emotional growth, to graduate from high school, and to be globally competitive for post-secondary education, work, and life in the 21st century.
What does AIG look like in Craven County?
Each school in Craven County has a licensed AIG Specialist. The time each specialist is assigned to a school depends on the number of students served. The Specialist offers nurture groups, pull-out sessions, and classroom differentiation pending the needs of the children and the school setting. The AIG Specialist at each school works with teachers to plan differentiated units to integrate into their classrooms.
